It is one of the major killers in the history of humankind, and I’m sure everyone can recall moments in life where we were disappointed that something good, we anticipated was going to happen didn’t. So, disappointment comes in when our expectations are not matched with the outcome that actually ended up occurring and scientists or researchers have actually found this to be true, that when you anticipate something exciting happening, when you are looking forward to something really good (it could be in your career, a pay rise, a promotion that you were looking forward to, a business venture that you were looking to start, a relationship that you are looking forward to start) and you are very excited about it,
what researchers have discovered is that when we get excited about something, our brain automatically produces dopamine high and that gets our excitement levels very high. At this point, it seems like everything is going well, the whole world is amazing, life is great, but then, disappointment sets in when the things we were excited about don’t actually go the way we were hoping they would.
We believe that creating agents of change will make our families, communities, nations, and world better in the process.
